Family Support Worker

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Family Support Worker to join our professional and dedicated Targeted Family Support Team. Whilst this is ideally a full-time position (37 hours/week) we would consider part time hours (30 hours/week over 4/5 days), fixed term; initially until the end of December 2025, with potential to extend.

To make a vital contribution to the direct delivery of a high-quality targeted family support service for families with children aged 0 - 11 years old across Cheltenham and Tewkesbury localities.

Working as part of a team to deliver programmes of intervention to improve parenting, resolve issues and improve functioning in families.  Participating in a multi-disciplinary approach to working with families and co-ordinate partnerships and services to meet the needs of families.

The successful candidate will work alongside Gloucestershire County and District Councils teams, Independent Agencies, local partnerships and the voluntary sector to support and implement the countywide Early Help offer.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Level 4 qualification in Childcare, Education or Health & Social Care (or related subject)
or a Level 3 qualification, with an expectation to work towards a Level 4. You will also demonstrate a willingness to undertake other training appropriate to the role.

The post holder will be required to work at any of the Children and Family Centres operated by the Aspire Foundation across the Cheltenham and Tewkesbury area.

ICT Manager

The Role
As our ICT Manager, you'll be the tech cornerstone of Aspire Foundation, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all ICT systems to support teaching, learning, and administration. You’ll ensure that all our staff, from early years practitioners, family support workers, to primary educators, have the tools they need to deliver exceptional education and support. Aspire Foundation is a dynamic and impactful charity dedicated to delivering early years services and community and family support programs that empower communities and give children the best start in life.
We're seeking Directors/ Trustees to join our Board and help guide our mission. We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have a finance specialism, but welcome interest from anyone wishing to actively oversee the strategic direction and management of Aspire Foundation, from operational, strategic and governance perspectives.

We have over 20 years’ experience of delivering successful, high-quality early intervention services and educational programmes to families with young children. These include family support services, children’s centres and early year’s settings. As a Director/ Trustee you will contribute to the effective workings of the Board liaising with the Executive Head and Senior Management Team to provide direction and accountability.

As we are a small charity the role will include being involved in the recruitment processes for senior roles within the Foundation.

The Board of Directors meets regularly during the late afternoon, typically the number of meetings will be 6 per year.

Early Years Strategic Lead

Community Information Administrator

Aspire Foundation is currently expanding and developing high quality family support services for families with young children to help build confidence, social skills and relationships.

As a Community Information Administrator, you will work in partnership with parents and local community-based services to provide a warm and welcoming front of house service to all our service users and visitors.

A key part of the role will be providing efficient and knowledgeable signposting advice.  This will include brief one-off interventions to children, young people and their families such as information about debt advice, issuing of food vouchers, support to complete relevant forms etc.

Clerk to Directors

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Clerk to support the Board of Directors at Aspire Foundation. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role and/or possibly a school setting previously. They will provide advice and guidance to the Board of Directors on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, whilst also ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Board of Directors.  

You will prepare for meetings, hearings and appeals, taking and distributing minutes/notes etc; ensure all records are maintained and Directors are kept up to date on legal and constitutional matters.

The hours for the role are 50 hours per annum and, you will be expected to attend all Board meetings which take place approximately 5 times each year, primarily from 4pm onwards (Monday to Friday). Some flexibility required around hours worked.

You will be a good communicator with excellent administration and organisational skills, who enjoys working with others as part of a team.

Volunteer to support our work with Children & Families
Volunteers play a significant role in helping us to deliver our services, providing rewarding opportunities for personal and skill development, strengthening work experience and employability.  Support the work of our trained and professional staff by:

  • Helping out at one of our groups,

  • Accompanying children and families on trips,

  • Supporting a fun day at one of our centres

  • Helping out in one of our nurseries.

  • Carrying out Practical Maintenance jobs (opportunities exist from 2 hours per week)
